Plot
Damián participates in a TV game show where loyalty wins. They put a
nametag on his shirt. When the program goes to commercial, the story
begins:Once upon a time in a big city, there was a middle-aged man named
Damian who lived paycheck to paycheck. When he receives news of his
father’s death, he has to return to his hometown, Ferrol. After more
than twenty years away, Ferrol has fallen into ruin, yet still traps
everyone who visits.

Alberto Gracia (Ferrol, 1978) is a director and writer.His first short film, Microfugas, was shot in 2008 in 16mm.In 2013, his first feature film The fifth gospel of Kaspar Hauser (Zeitun Films) premiered at the International Film Festival Rotterdam, and won the FIPRESCI award (International Critics Award).In 2018, he presented his second feature film entitled The wandering star at the International Film Festival Rotterdam. This film won the Deluxe Prize Nuevas Olas at the Seville European Film Festival and Best Film Award at the Dock of the Bay Festival in Donosti.Thanks to winning the X-Films award in 2020 at the Punto de Vista Festival; in 2021, he could make his second short film, Let’s be careful out there, which received the Special jury mention at Filmadrid.La Parra is his third and long-awaited feature film
