Leos Carax (Suresnes, France. 1960) made his debut with Boy Meets Girl (1984), winner of the Youth Award at Cannes. Next came Mauvais sang (1986), which bagged him the Alfred Bauer Prize in Berlin, Les amants du Pont-Neuf (1991), Pola X (1999), a competitor at Cannes, and one of the segments of the anthology film Tokyo! (2008). In 2012 he once again competed in Cannes with Holy Motors, landing the Youth Award. The film would go on to harvest the Best Film and Best Director Awards at the Sitges Festival. His latest feature, Annette (2021) garnered Best Director at Cannes and the César in the same category. The medium length C'est pas moi screened in the Cannes Premiere section.
